what's wrong with the clouds?

The sky tonight was the prettiest shade of blue.  Some of the clouds were pink, others bright white.  Justin noticed and asked me what was wrong with the clouds.  The sky was bright and cheery and also dark and gloomy at the same time. 

Roman Treasures

Amanda hooked us up with some fun stuff from Roma.  The chocolate covered expresso beans are nothing short of amazing which made being without my camera for a few weeks totally worth it.

It's took me all weekend to complete these, but at 12:17 am I was finally done.  I totally screwed up the recipe but went ahead and ran with it.  I actually think they look better than the taste - I will let my coworkers be the judge in a few hours when I take nearly the whole lot into work.

I love when Justin asks for me to take his picture.  I mean he is almost always willing to participate in my phototaking, but I will never turn down a photo request from him.

we heart flowers

Every morning Justin checks out his flowers. He is always thrilled when a new one opens.

Today the weather was perfect!  We hit up the plant stand by The Bomber and picked up some new stuff.  I have been wanting to re-do the sideyard ever since I first re-did it 2 years ago.  We picked some new plants, some new tools and some dirt and came home and got to work.  The best part of the whole project was being able to start and finish it in one afternoon.  I knew the weather was gonna go to shit on Sunday so I was extra motivated to finish and the weather was beyond perfect so it was so easy to be outside.

tornado dream

Last Saturday Justin woke up and told me he had a dream.  I asked him "what did you dream about?"  Usually he says, "I dunno,"  but this time he made a tornado like motion with his hand, it took me a minute and a few questions, but I finally figured it out... he told me all about his dream - and spent the rest of the day pretending that he was hiding from or running away from tornados.  Today he spent some time on youtube checking out videos of tornados.

I miss my camera...

Justin came home Tuesday with his curls gone, and normally I would have snapped a much better picture, but without my camera I feel crippled, so I didn't get a picture of his nearly bald head until tonight.  In fact I think it is safe to say that this blog project would never have lasted if it weren't for my DSLR.  Amanda arrived back in Seattle safe and sound - which means in less than a week... I will be back in business. I'll miss the daily travel photos though.

Justin is practicing to be the next Bachelor.  He gave me the final rose, I took him out for an ice cream date.

Amanda is in Rome!  With my camera!  So I think it is only fitting to post some of the great shots she is getting.  We have been chatting everyday via facebook and I so wish I was there.  It sounds nothing short of fantastic.

12 pink roses

There is an annual tradition this time of year at work that can't be beat.  One of the attorneys brings every woman in the office one dozen roses from the rotary club.  The entire office smelled like roses and everyone was in a great mood.  My bouquet definetly brightened up my desk!

Justin's 1st catch

Justin went to a fish farm today with Jason and caught his first fish.  He called me up super excited and told me that he caught a fish!  He didn't want to touch it {can't say I blame him}.   

Justin had asked me a few times what the green strings in his tackle box were for, I tried to explain it was for stringing up caught fish {he didn't get it} - so glad it will make sense to him now!  Jason told me he was going to let Justin bring the fish he caught home, I told him thanks, but please don't.

daylight savings time

We sprung forward yesterday and I am trying to get used to it.  It was just after 7:00 pm, the temp was 64* and there was still daylight left to be had!  I like it.

gone fishin'... again

Justin is fishing again today with his dad.  This picture that Jason sent me cracks me up - Justin looks so small sitting there - it is really quite cute and I sure hope that he catches a fish.

bigfoot

Justin just told me he had a "girl" and her name was Tina, then he said she was knocking on the door and I neded to go answer the door cause it was "his girl Tina".  Tina also joined us to go watch the monster truck Bigfoot, but she stayed in the car. 

It was pretty cool, we were really close to the truck. The noise of the truck was too loud for Justin (I shoulda brought his ear muffs), but he loved seeing the Ford truck with the huge tires - the car smashing was just a bonus.

getting pretty

Before we went to Freddies this evening Justin wanted to "get pretty" - which included teeth brushing, putting a little powder on his face and some gel in his hair.  When I buckled him into the car he told me "I'm a man."  Then he told me "you're a man-girl."  He also calls me "sir" quite frequently, but I think that is because when we play resturant I call him sir - I think it is too funny to correct him, plus I REALLY don't want to be called ma'am!

time well spent

I had an appointment on Tuesday with Suzanne, but the time slot got double booked (another Michele) - for the inconvience I got her book, which was awesome cause I was going to buy it anyway.  I had my reading today, and it was so interesting!  Totally worth it.

mission accomplished!

I hope Brandi likes it, and even moreso I hope her husband loves it. 
I attempted white chocolate curls on the sides, under the cream cheese frosting is 3 layers of red velvet.

Jason took Justin fishing today and said that Justin had a ball and didn't want to leave.  I don't think they caught anything, but at least they had fun.

It was awesome!!!!  Lisa, my co-worker and fellow baking enthusiast made these this weekend.  These are so rad, and are on my list of things I must bake.

more fishing

This time Justin fished off the back deck.  He is practicing for his next fishing trip, he even has his tackle box ready to go. 

Seeing 102* on this thermometer is much better than seeing it on the one I stick in Justin's ear.

It was in the mid 60's today, but the afternoon sun hits the thermometer out back and it was reading 100! WOW.

Justin was still feeling really crappy.  We headed outside to get some fresh air, which helped his nasty cold a lot.  Here he is checking out some "baby dafadils".  He got tired easily, so our trips outside weren't too long.  I did open up most of the windows in the house and the fresh air pouring inside smelled so good.

I spent 3 plus hours screaming at the TV this evening while watching the season finale of The Bachelor. Rachel came over and we had a good time, but I never bothered to take a picture of the insanity we were witnessing on the TV.  

Justin spent was at his dads - they went to The California Pizza Kitchen for dinner and Jason sent this pic to me...
