Justin drew this amazing castle today at Lily Pond.
I love the moat and the flags.

Jason sent this blurry picture of kindergarten pick-up
Little kids with big back packs on are cute.

foxy

There is a fall chill in the air this week.
Which is so strange, because last week we had temps in the 90's.
We are in the 60's now.
I lit my pumpkin candle tonight.
And while I usually can't wait for summer to transition into fall.
I am not ready.
Even a cute glowing fox and the aroma of my favorite fall scent
can't convince me that summer is over.

Quiet Coyote

Justin showed me something he learned in kindergarten today.
A hand sign.
He said it is the "quiet coyote"
and it means you have to be quiet.
I couldn't get my finger to do it.
He tried to help me.

bed mates

I do not like cats on my pillow
but that doesn't stop Lucy and Paxil
Everyday this happens
It is nice that they like me and want to be close
but it annoys the heck outta me

summer tradition = DMB at the Gorge

This year's caravan set-up made our traditional DMB show even more awesome.
We left Seattle and headed east stopping for coffee and food.
We arrived right after the gates opened and quickly found a great spot on the grass.
We bought shirts, posters.
Rented chairs (for the first time ever - and it won't be the last)
It was hot!  Like in the 90's!!!

Our awesome vantage point.
There was still lots of space on the lawn to be had.

Soon the sun was setting and we waited for DMB to hit the stage!
As soon as the sun dropped it got chilly.
Good thing we bought those sweatshirts.

Such an amazing show!

Seattle treats

Today is a tradition.
The start of the annual trip to go see DMB!
After sleeping in and getting some chores done I hit the road to Seattle.
The drive was good.
I ate some lunch and then wandered over to get a haircut.
I was very over due (like over a year)
for a cut, so I was excited.
Amanda set me up with her hair dresser
and I got quite a bit of length removed.

After the haircut we ate dinner and then went out for treats!

 Ice cream and cupcakes!
This year we are catching the Saturday DMB show rather than the Friday show.
We are going to have a lot more time to goof off this weekend!
Yay for traditions!

school supplies

Today was the open house at Justin's school.
We met his teacher.
Saw his class room.
Played on the playground.
Wandered around.
Dropped off our supplies.
