Tulip Festival
We took our chances on the weather and headed to the tulip fields today. Justin was very excited. On the drive over we drove by Sky Dive Oregon and I said outloud "I am gonna jump out of a plane someday." Justin responded with a "me too" and "let's do it tomorrow!" and "I'll hold your hand." We had a talk about parachutes and then Justin spread his arms out and acting like he was floating around in the sky. The weather was a little windy and damp but it didn't rain while we were out in the fields. It was so muddy though, our boots and the ends of our pant legs were caked with mud. After our stroll through the field Justin wanted to hit up the cow train, but we missed it by a minute and then the rain came. Justin insisted that we wait at the station, in the rain, for the train to come back. And we did. It quit raining just in time for us to get on the train and take a bumpy ride back out to the fields. Justin was on my lap and I have no idea if he had fun or not, he was hidden underneath so many layers I couldn't see his face. Before leaving we picked up some tiny wooden shoes, and some daffodils that Justin insisted we had to have. Later that evening he also insisted that his pot of daffodils come with us to Target and they couldn't wait for us in the car, he brought them into the store because they "are so tiny and cute" and because "he needed to take care of them." Awesome little boy my Justin!!!
